Condition and Care of both Mother and Neonate

Pregnancy is a special physiological condition where drug treatment presents a special concern because the physiology of pregnancy affects the pharmacokinetics of medications used and certain medications can reach the fetus and cause harm. Total avoidance of pharmacological treatment in pregnancy is not possible and may be dangerous because some women enter pregnancy with medical conditions that require ongoing and episodic treatment (e.g. asthma, epilepsy, hypertension). Also during pregnancy new medical problems can develop and old ones can be exacerbated (e.g. migraine, headache) requiring pharmacological therapy.

Journal of Pregnancy and Neonatal Medicine is successfully running in the Volume 3 which covers a wide variety of specialties reaching out to analytical scientists worldwide.

The scope of the journal includes novel research developments regarding pregnancy, management of signs and symptoms of pregnancy, Alpha fetoprotein, Fallopian tubes, Hydrocephalus, Pregnancy week by week, High risk pregnancy, Ectopic pregnancy, Fetal assessment, Caesarean section delivery, Neonatal care, Neonatal nursing, New born surgery, Neonatal apnea and Neonatal care injuries. In addition the journal also prioritizes worldwide dissemination of articles centred on clinical and medical developments and discrepancies in emergency neonatal care, maternal care, child health care services and other aspects of paediatric medicine and surgery.

Journal of Pregnancy and Neonatal Medicine is highly respected and frequently cited journal is a prime source of information in the area of fetal and neonatal research. Original papers present research on all aspects of neonatology, fetal medicine and developmental biology. These papers encompass both basic science and clinical research including randomised trials, observational studies and epidemiology. Basic science research covers molecular biology, molecular genetics, physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology in fetal and neonatal life. In addition to the classic features Journal of Pregnancy and Neonatal Medicine accepts papers for the sections Research Briefings, Sources of Neonatal Medicine (historical pieces) and Research Methods in Neonatal Medicine. Papers reporting results of animal studies should be based upon hypotheses that relate to developmental processes or disorders in the human fetus or neonate.
